Oct 8: Update from BCA Board of Directors RE: Leadership Transition

Updated: Nov 26

I would like to take a moment to express my gratitude to all the men and women who have volunteered their time and efforts in service to our community, both recently and in years past. Your dedication is deeply appreciated.

This year, our community tasked a committee with reviewing and proposing updates to our Covenants to bring them in line with current needs and preferences. After several meetings to ensure that all community input was considered, the update document was presented to the President and Vice President during a “special meeting” this past weekend.

At that meeting, a letter was also submitted requesting that violations related to the specific categories under review for amendment be temporarily suspended for October, November, and December. Please refer to our Oct 5: Letter to Suspend Fines During Covenants & Restrictions Review Process.

At the conclusion of this meeting, our President, Mr. Bob Weiss, officially announced his resignation and transferred all presidential responsibilities to Vice President Mr. Clay Rogers. Additionally, Mrs. Maryann Weiss resigned from her role as Director of the Beautification Committee and transferred all beautification-related materials to the Secretary, Angela Woodruff. Both Mr. and Mrs. Weiss followed up their verbal resignations with phone calls to Dorchester Real Estate Services, Inc., formally confirming their resignations and the immediate transfer of authority to Mr. Rogers.

Effective as of Saturday, October 5, 2025, Mr. Clay Rogers is vested with all the powers of the President.

Sincerely,

Angela Woodruff

Secretary
