Meeting Time: 7:20 PM – 8:00 PM

Community Email Correspondence
Chris and Angela reported they are monitoring the association email account daily. Jimmy advised that he does not use email. If a matter requires his attention, he requested that it be communicated via phone call or text message.
Official Communication Channels
The Board reaffirmed that official communication between the association and its members is conducted through:

In-person monthly membership meetings
This ensures a documented and verifiable record of all official association business.
Social Media Use & Unauthorized Pages
The board discussed the association’s official Facebook group, which is accessible to all members via the Briarwood website. This platform was created to centralize community interaction.
Concerns were raised regarding unauthorized social media groups using the Association’s name while spreading rumors and fostering disputes. The board discussed drafting a cease and desist letter to administrators of these unofficial pages. It was suggested that the association’s attorney review the letter prior to distribution.
Safety and Neighbor Disputes
It was discussed regarding the importance to continue reminding residence of available resources for various concerns:
Crime or suspicious activity: Contact the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Department- Emergencies: Dial 911
Covenant and Restrictions violations: Contact Dorchester Real Estate Services (DRES)- Board inquiries or concerns:
Attend the monthly membership meetings
Email contact@briarwoodsc.org for a response within 24–48 hours
Additionally, the official Facebook group is available for neighborly engagement and updates.
Newsletter Topics
Board members discussed items for inclusion in the upcoming community newsletter.

The Board confirmed that nominations are being accepted via the association website and are being monitored.
